Discovering the North

Outside the property The Grove Houses, you can take a walk in the well-tended Penha Mountain, between rocks and trees. With a green area of over 60 hectares, integrating in the National Ecological Reserve, Montanha da Penha has habitats of high value.

Recognised as a true green lung, and have been already registered 321 species of plants inserted in a region with an abundance of water, the vegetation grows easily. It presents areas essentially occupied by forest systems of Carvalhais and Castanheiros. The local fauna registers more than thirty percent of the total species present in Portugal with about three dozen vertebrate species with conservation status in Portugal.
